just going to bed but i thought I'd do a wee quick blog before i go.
was tired doing nothing yesterday, well looking for pictures for my bathroom. which indecently, turned out really dark, but i think my bathroom can take it.
was looking again all day for more pictures, shower curtains, a blind, and all they kind of things and if i knew how to do a link to the pics i got i would. so John if your reading this tell me how to do it.
Shannon and her boyfriend gave me a wee visit today, wee surprise. she didn't have as much make-up and looked better for it.

long beard
Had a very uneventful day today, just the usual day of seeing to the weans.
Kai was out most of the day with his pal. When he was in, he was making paper guns in his room with his pal. Later on, I went into his room to take his washing in and all over his bed was white with PAPER!! He had football training tonight, so really I’ve hardly seen him all day.
Dex was a bit crabby most of the day. He had a good sleep for about 1½ hrs so he was better after that. His skin was really irritating him when he was getting changed into his jammies, he kept trying to scratch all over, I feel so bad for him.
Steven shaved his beard off!! SHOCKER!!! It was getting really bad, and I told him he was not getting any kisses from me till it was gone. It worked! I wish he would shave more often but I think he likes to look like a tramp. His nick name in his old work was “the scruff” and he seemed quite proud of it. He really doesn’t mind it at all!

wizzzzaaaaaap
God, that’s the first time I’ve signed in and got in on the first shot!
Just read all the blogs I’m following, I had a wee laff at them all. Its good to be able to keep up with peoples life’s. You too Cree, and you’re a great wee writer, so I hope that course your doing goes well for you. Maybe you’ll become a famous author??
Had mum come out today. She told me yesterday that she’d be here around 12ish, and she knew I sometimes had a long lie on a Sunday. Yeah I said, that’d be great! But low and behold, the wee Dexy had me up at… 6.10am!!!!!!! Arggggggghhhhh “the joys” and all that. She got here around 12ish as she said. Kai and Steven were over at the park, having a kick about, and Dex was sitting on his chair having a greet. No surprise there then. Had a wee blether then got started an her hair. Wee shame, she cant do it by herself, not with her wee sore hand. So I got started. Coloured her hair all over first, then after that had taken (covered her greys) I started on her blondie bits. She told me where she wanted them. At the time I thought you wouldn’t really see it, but when it was done it looked really good! that’s me promoted to the hairdresser I think. Well, I’m already the eyebrow shaper. I remember my Gran used to ask me to shape her brows for her, something I feel privileged for. Sometimes I had a hard time getting to her wee stray ones, ok, big stray ones, cos they would be really low, you know, like way down, almost on her eyelash line. So I know what to expect when I’m older! I often used to tell her about her beard she would have grown, and offer to snip it off for her. I found it a bit of a hard subject to approach at the beginning. But after the first time, I thought, I really cant let my gran go about with whiskers on her chin, she would never have forgiven me! Also, her eyebrows had to be taken back quite a bit, they were like that Norman Lamont’s (is that his name?) but I really look back on doing all that with fondness, even though almost every time I did it, well as she was getting on a bit anyway, that it would be the last time I would be doing it. Awwww ma wee granny. I miss her.
ANYWAY… that was a bit of a reminisce for me there.
After my mum left, with her new hair, Steven’s mum and dad came through. They didn’t really stay that long. So after they left, on I got with the dinner. Meanwhile, Dex is still greeting, I made some soup for all of us, and while it was cooking we all went over to the park for a wee walk. That’s Kai, Dex (in his buggy), Steven, Murray and me. Phew, the list is getting longer when I put it like that. Got home, put Dex to bed and watched a bit of telly. Kai’s been on the pc nearly all day. He’s been on youtube and making paper guns. it’s the type that he plays with when he plays some games on his xbox. Oh how he misses his xbox!!
Steven just looked over my shoulder (before he goes to bed) and says "that’s a big one tonight". Hmmm I suppose it is. Going to join Steven, its his turn for Dex tomorrow. Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh.

Call the Police!!
God!! Forgot to mention yesterday , Kai found a syringe behind the bus stop over at the park!!!!!!!! I was away taking Steven to work when he found it. He phoned the police on his mobile phone and they came out to see him!! Cant believe he found that… in Kirknewton!!
His game today, which he thought they would lose, well they won 3-0! Kai got man of the match too for his great defence! Very proud mum. I can see a pro in him.
Went to the shops and got some paint for the bathroom. Its called “mountain rain” a kinda gray/blue/green, teal? Hopefully Steven will do it when he’s off on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Playing the wii again tonight. Well im having a wee sit out, im absolutely knackered tonight.
Wee Dex has been a bit crabit today, don’t know if its to do with his jags earlier in the week? He keeps wakening for his dummy, ive been through about 5 times since I sat down to write this, poor wee soul.

Banana? Anybody want banana?
Gave Dex banana today for the first time… he was sick! I thought id take a video of his face when I first gave him it because of the faces he was pulling, you know the ones where you know he is saying to himself “I don’t like this”! Then the next thing, buuugh, all over him. Ill be putting it on you tube so you can see. Not him being sick over the place, just his faces.
Played the Wii with Kai tonight. Had a shot at “guitar hero” im totally rubbish at it. Kai kept digging me for it, saying I was really bad. that’s just because he’s really good!
He went to bed, and when I was saying goodnight, he talked about his football game tomorrow. He said he had a funny feeling that they were going to lose tomorrow, hmmm. So good to see him interested in something other than xbox (its still broke) and playstation. I’ve liked the fact that its broken cos he spends more time in the livingroom, mostly on the pc but at least I can talk to him without going into his room.
Been thinking about what colour to paint the bathroom? I really don’t know what colour to go with. don’t know whether to go light or dark? Trying to get Steven to paint it (since he’s the professional painter) but he keeps saying ill be doing it!! I don’t bloody well think so!! Going to pick a colour tomorrow. He’s got all weekend to do it so ill keep you updated if he does or not.

doctors and nurses
Took Dex to the doctors this morning about his cream for his eczema and she told us that she’s going to book him into see the dermatologist up at the hospital., so that’s good. The cream we’re using seems to be helping his skin, it’s a bit softer anyway but I think she wants to see a bigger improvement.
Txt linda to tell her I was thinking of her and wee Laura, been thinking about lolly all day wondering how she’s getting on. Phoned mum to see if she knows anything but linda hadn’t got in touch with her yet. I hope their all ok.

Dads Anniversary
I phoned my mum this morning, to see how she was. She told me that Shannon had txt her to say it was grandads day today and she was thinking of her. How thoughtful of Shannon. Kai still talks about his grandad even though he was only 6 when he died. I have a candle burning for him today, in fact I’m on the second one. And taking John’s lead, I’ve got a wee drink tonight. Only a small vodka, I just couldn’t do the whiskey!
Kai had maths homework tonight that I couldn’t help him with?!! If Steven was here, he’d get it no problem. Then again, his uncle john could help him understand it better. Just told him to tell his teacher that he needs a little help with it. I hope she explains it to him so he understands how to do it.
Took Dex and Murray over to the park for the first time together this evening, Dex in his buggy and Murray on the lead. I didn’t do to badly, Murray behaved himself. I think he understood that he couldn’t go to far because I had Dex with me. I normally get Kai to take him out, but tonight Kai was at his football training. In fact, he came home quite upset. His trainer told him he wasn’t to play on Saturday because he was supposed to have said something about another team player (the trainers son) but he hadn’t. I was about to txt the trainer to see what it was all about, when the son phoned Kai and told him he stuck up for him and told his dad that it wasn’t Kai. Now all is well and he has a smile on his face once again.
