Proud mum!

Was up early yesterday. got started straight away with the house work, and didn’t stop till I had to drop off Steven at his mums with Dex, and Kai and me to our’s. I totally scrubbed the bathroom floor to get the paint drips off, as well as all Dex's ironing. Billy and Shannon were at mum‘s, but it didn’t seem as if I was there that long before I had to leave again to pick up Steven and Dex. On our way along the motorway it was TEAMING down with rain, thought it was going to be a long journey, but it wasn’t too bad.
Got home and caught up with the rest of “Lost” so that’s us up to date now. I miss it tonight. Really getting into it and the last episode is next week, its getting pretty mental!

Got up and took Kai to football this morning. He’s been moved to play midfield, before he was defending. When I went back to pick him up the coach shouted to him, “hey Kai! Go and tell your mum!”. Kai ran over and told me he scored his first goal! YEAH!! The coach’s wife told me that he is in the front runners for being awarded the most improved this season, but ive not to tell him just in case someone else overtakes him. The coach is really impressed with him! that’s great eh! His team also won 5-0. They’ve being doing brilliant lately!

Got home from Kai’s game to get ready to go to Rachel’s wee lassie Ella’s 2nd birthday with Dex, this is his first party and he won pass the parcel! Got a txt from Billy that he, Lynn and Liam were coming to pay us a wee visit. Liam’s getting really big! He’s even got hair AND he’s nearly crawling! they’ve got someone to rent their house so will be moving in with mum for a bit before they go off to New Zealand.

Watched a bit of “Wanted” tonight, film with Angelina Jolie. Steven kept falling asleep. I hate watching a film together then he falls asleep, so he’s away to bed. Every time I went down for a fag, I kept hearing music and I was thinking, I could be just as well out somewhere and just let him sleep. Its really annoying being the on my own on a Saturday night. It gets depressing, he does it all the time.

Gonna try and finish the bathroom tomorrow. All I have to do is paint the grout in-between the tiles, then get Steven to put up the pictures and the blind, then it’ll be DONE!

the before shot!

Thought I should show you a wee bit of the “before” pics of the garden I took probably around 2 weeks ago, and what a change since then! Ive taken some more pictures so I’ll show them as we go along, its really looking great.


Had a really sore head last night so didn’t get round to blogging. Sometimes I feel its like a chore when im tired, quite a lot these days, you know, baby and all. Anyway, went down for Dex’s prescription but the doc hadn’t put how much of the cream he was to have, so we didn’t get it till today when they got it sorted out.

Went to our local gardening centre for some chipped bark, 2 bags for a tenner so we got 2 and a few more plants. I was thinking that it would cost a fortune to do the garden, but its really mostly hard work (Steven) and getting things as you go along. I was saving up in the post office for the garden but that was all away last week when we used it for our holidays.
In the photo above, you can bearly see the beautiful wee tree. That part is all done and finished now, wait till i show you it! Mum and Linda will see it John but you wont, so im doing the pics just for you. hope you want to see what im doing?
Was out in the garden for most of the day today. Had Dex out in his buggy after he had his lunch and he was quite content for a while, playing with his wee toys out in the fresh air. After a wee while when he got fed up, I got his ring and let him play in that for a bit. I think he had a good wee day, out in the garden. It was lovely here, just a wee bit breezy. I love how the garden’s coming on. Might just give Steven a wee kiss for his hard work!

Beechgrove Garden

Had dentist today, need 2 very small fillings on old ones. She said after having a baby, teeth and gums change a lot and that mine really wasn’t to bad. I asked about teeth whitening, £360 for her to do it, I thought it’d be MUCH more expensive.

Went to aldi’s and Morrison’s for my weekly shopping, got all of Dex’s wee jars in.

Out doing the garden today again, well Steven done most of it, I only really weeded the strawberry patch. its really comming on and starting to look pretty good! Shannon and her wee boyfriend gave us a wee visit since they were bored. I told them if they were coming to help in the garden, they didn’t. big surprise there, but they did keep Dex amused.

His face has flared up today, I thought about taking him down to the docs, put a wee bit of his hydrocortisone on and it started to die down.

Catching up with the “Lost” that we’ve had for ages. Only 3 more to watch and that’s us caught up, at last.

its been a long time!

Holiday was good. Caravan was a tin can, an unclean one at that. As soon as I got into the tin can, I put Dex in his seat and started cleaning the kitchen straight away. Scooshed “flash” all over the bathroom and left it for the cleaner, it was DISCUSTING! weather was totally rubbish, torrential rain, very wet, and force gale winds. mum came down on the Tuesday. It was great to have her around, had a really nice time with her. She was up for drinking more than me! We got a lovely pic of the weans from the photo shop, Cost a blooming fortune. Had an argument with the bar staff for selling me glasses of ice after paying £1.60 for a cola! absolute disgrace. Took Kai 2 secs to finish his. Had two shots with Kai on the go karts and being a driver I beat him twice, YEEEES! Went for a walk for about 2hrs with Steven, Kai, Dex and Murray. Probably the only 2 hours of dry weather, Murray was knackered! I really did have a lovely time though, even after all my moans, its still good to get away.

OH MY GOD!!! ma hoose is STINKING!!! between the nappy bin at the top of the stairs, and the bathroom right beside it, steven having a "dodgy belly" and Kai coming home from school asking if the toilet's empty, been at school all day now home for THE toilet, its bloody stinking in here! thank god its a sunny day here so i can open all the windows, WIDE!!! pooeee. just sprayed some Glade to mask the smell, big mistake. its now a smell between stinking poos and flowers. ugh

Came home on Friday and Billy and Shannon gave us a visit. Had Chinese for dinner then had a early night. Saturday, Tracey phoned me to go down for a wee drink with the girls, so was down there all day.

cleaned up the house a bit yesterday till ma mum came with our bag of washing. No she didn’t clean it for us, we couldn’t fit it in the car. Put a rinse in her hair for her, I really should be doing my own, ive not done it for months and the lassies are starting to point it out!

Been watching some of Linda’s clothes on ebay, think ill start to do it myself. Ive got LOTS of clothes to take to charity. It’ll be a big job though.

Phoned my work today to find out when ive to go back. I thought it would be maybe next week, turns out its not till June 15th!!!! Ages yet!

Had Dex at hospital today with his eczema. Just going to try more creams. Have to take him next week for an hour long appointment with the nurse so she can tell us everything to do with eczema and how to do all his bandages if he needs them. I think he will need them now and then, its just a wee shame, it gets really bad sometimes.

Steven in bed just now, he's ill, dodgy belly. Dex watching the telly, quietly. Kai out with his pals till its time for him to go to football training. Me, im just having a nice bit of quiet time, got about 10 mins left.

Might add some more later as its so early in the day.

early the night...

hardly done anything yesterday, so didn't think it was justified to post. only last night i watched 5 episodes of "come dine with me" then started to catch up with "pushing daisies" and Steven came in from work. i was having a wee vodie and wanted to chat, but he stayed up for about an hour then went to bed. that was about 12ish. i stayed up to have another wee vodka and spoke to john for a couple mins but he told me to go to bed. so off i went to bed, probably around 3.

asked Steven to get up for Dex and got a moan from him back. don't think I'm allowed to have a drink on a Sat night! but he got up anyway, then i was told to get up at 10.

Linda came through and took Robbie home, just before she left ma mum came through to change motors with me for our holidays tomorrow. we just wont be able to fit much in our own car, if Dex wasn't with us we could. its like a flittin when we go anywhere now.

done some washing, watched Steven dig the garden, planted a few plants, made the dinner. made beef burgers, now the house stinks, all the clothes'll be humming. going in for a bath, im knackered.

probably wont be blogging till maybe Friday.

out in the garden today and finished off the heather patch, well almost, i just have to get some more plants to fill in the bald patches. Steven put in the other plants we got the other day, and i have to correct myself. i said we got 3 for £5 of alpines but it was actually 6 for a fiver!!!!

went to train station to pick up Robbie. Kai got all hyper as soon as he arrived. 10 Min's after Robbie got here, Steven took the boys to the flicks to see the new Xmen film about wolverine and i stayed in and took care of Dex.

hopefully back in the garden tomorrow, i really should take some before and after pics to show you. that's what ill do tomorrow, then you'll see the progress.
